About Dr Lynn
Dr Nyan Lynn is a Consultant Neurologist and Clinical Neurophysiologist based in Melbourne. He serves as the clinical lead of the neurophysiology department and as a neurophysiology supervisor at Sunshine Hospital, Melbourne, and is also affiliated with John Fawkner Private Hospital.
A Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, Dr Lynn is a member of the Australia and New Zealand Association of Neurologists, the American Academy of Neurology, and the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He completed his neurology training at University Hospital Geelong and the Royal Melbourne Hospital, followed by a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
With over a decade of experience, Dr Lynn provides expert neurophysiology services, including nerve conduction studies and electromyography, to diagnose neuromuscular disorders such as carpal tunnel syndrome, ulnar neuropathy, peripheral neuropathy, and motor neurone disease.
Additionally, he offers Botulinum toxin injections for treating chronic migraine, hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), blepharospasm (involuntary blinking or twitching of the eyelids), hemifacial spasm (involuntary twitching of facial muscles on one side of the face), cervical dystonia (uncontrollable neck muscle contractions), and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders.
He also provides neurological consultations and has a special interest in headache and migraine management, neuromuscular conditions including peripheral neuropathies and myasthenia gravis, as well as hyperhidrosis.
